Where was I born.
I was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, UK and spent 4 years at the University of Hull, 2 yrs studying and teaching in Spain before heading south in 2001 in search of adventure and the sun!
What was I doing before I joined Numero.
Before Numero I spent 12 years recruiting in the accountancy and finance fields in the UK (Newcastle and Leeds) including 8 years in Sydney and Melbourne. My focus has been at the mid to senior end of the market, assisting qualified accountants in their job search and providing guidance predominantly in the commercial sector. I have been fortunate to gain exposure to many industries, partner a variety of local and multinational companies and also develop my leadership skills managing the Chatswood office in Sydney.
Why do I work at Numero.
When looking to continue my career in Auckland I sought an organization who employed fun loving consultants who had great commercial acumen and were proud of their roles as recruitment professionals. I have definitely found that Numero fits the bill and the team are amazingly motivated and dynamic. Having 2 young children, Numero also offers great flexibility to work part time and has strong family values. A company that allows an additional days leave to carry out charity work demonstrates strong community values which I feel are hugely important.
What do I do at Numero
I work with Nick Logan recruiting Supply Chain professionals predominantly into Contract roles within Auckland.
What do I do with my spare time.
I enjoy keeping fit by running, attending the gym and recently started zumba – a hilarious hour of latino shimmying! As a family we get out and experience the great NZ outdoors as much as possible and have started a quest to conquer some Great Walks having ticked off the Routeburn this year. I’m also learning the guitar (painfully slowly), and work voluntarily with English Language Partners, Auckland tutoring new migrants to NZ with their language skills.
